Team

All of our staff were born and raised in Arusha-Northern part of Tanzania and the safari hub region, except Erick who was born and raised in Dar Es Salaam city, the capital commercial city of Tanzania.

Our Guides are skilled in African environments, knowledgeable, experienced and work responsibly. They are very effective and capable on guiding a wildlife safari, mountain climbing, wildlife-nature photography, and have basic training on first aid and mechanics. Their desire is to ensure that every day with us during your holiday is a great time. During the course of your safari or mountain climbing your guide will discuss with you the schedule for the following day, this is to maximize the chance of having a wonderful experience each day during a safari or mountain climbing and thus give your holiday a great value.

Our office staff tailor special itineraries to suit expressed interests of clients, they will create your personal best possible itinerary, then we will work keenly and responsible to make sure your trip is of great value.

MELECK JOHN


FOUNDER AND GUIDE

An outdoor enthusiast, creative and strategist, Meleck John founder of Parakuyo Safaris, has attended training from National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), safari guiding, tourism courses and entrepreneurship training in Nairobi and Arusha respectively. He guided the filming of “Super Pride” in Serengeti National Park, a Documentary Film produced by National Geographic. It was among comprehensive, timely and long duration guiding he did – 3 months day and night. He has a natural feeling for what a client really appreciates and more than ten years guiding safaris and cultural tours His professional approach, broad knowledge about safaris and tourism industry is an incredible asset to the company.

Meleck likes adventures, wilderness safari, camping, reading, photography and travelling.

IBRAHIM TOROKA

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Co-founder, born in Maasai steppe, Ibrahim Toroka raised in typical Maasai culture, he has fought his way to become a well-known man through his inborn ability to interact well with people. He has been working with various Non-Governmental Organizations for more than ten years. Ibrahim was invited to USA in 2006 and 2008, among the cities he visited is Philadelphia, New York and Washington DC, and during his visit was invited by Prof. Omar Otunu for human rights meetings in Connecticut University and UCAN University. He was invited to speak about Maasai culture in two primary schools in Madison, one is “Our Lady of Mercy School Inc” and he was the second tallest man to visit the school after Magic Johnson and “Brown Middle school”. He has been invited regularly at International School Tanganyika (IST) to teach the students and share the Maasai culture and their daily activities. His abilities, trustworthy and personality is a great asset to the company.

Ibrahim likes wilderness safari, camping, travelling, meeting new friends, telling stories and community development.

OMBENI NGUNGAT


STRATEGIC PLANNING

Ombeni embraces adventure passion by his heart from the early age, during his teens he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and explored some national parks and conservation areas located in the Northern circuit which is the Tanzania’s tourist hub. He has natural skills, keen passion and experience for tailoring a finest safari and Mount Kilimanjaro itineraries. As among the founding Directors, he has been demonstrating unrivalled supervision of day to day office operations and spearheading company's development and planning pillar to ensure that everything is on the right track at the right time.

PAMELA GEOFFREY - GENERAL MANAGER

Our General Manager joined us this year, a down to earth lady with over fifteen years in different managerial positions with different institutions including World Vision – Tanzania, PRIDE Tanzania and several safari companies as an overall manager, worked with several ministries as Programs and Development manager with strong work ethics. Passion for safaris embarked Pamela’s heart the first time she stood at the crater view point at Ngorongoro crater rim, a breathtaking view changed her mind completely and switched to adventures and safaris field, she also works on the best family safari itineraries for those travelling with young children, she is a company great asset and we are all proud to have her in the team.

Pamela likes travelling, reading, cooking, baking and house decorations.
